FAQ

Do I need prior aerial experience to join this training?

No previous aerial or yoga instruction is required to participate. However, we highly recommend that trainees have attended at least 10 aerial classes (preferably aerial yoga) and 10 mat-based yoga classes before enrolling. This ensures you’re familiar with the basic movement vocabulary and comfortable working with your body in a suspended environment.

What’s the difference between the Certificate of Completion and Certification to Teach?

All participants who complete the full training will receive a Certificate of Completion (25 contact hours). To be officially Certified to Teach, you must demonstrate safe teaching skills, clear cueing, and confident class leadership during a practical assessment at the end of the training. Certification ensures you're prepared to lead beginner-level aerial yoga classes independently.

Is this training Yoga Alliance certified?

This training is not affiliated with Yoga Alliance, but it qualifies as Continuing Education Hours for RYTs. You’ll receive a Certificate of Completion with the training hours clearly listed, which you can log as self-reported CEUs. Our priority is quality education, hands-on experience, and practical teaching tools—whether or not you're registered with YA.

Will I be ready to teach after this training?

Yes—if you successfully complete the practicum and safety assessment, you will leave this training certified to teach beginner-level aerial yoga classes. You'll gain the foundational knowledge and practical tools needed to lead your own classes with confidence, including real-time teaching experience and structured feedback.

What should I wear and bring to the training?

Wear fitted, comfortable clothing that covers your underarms, backs of knees, and midsection. No jewelry, lotions, or oils—this is for your safety and to protect the equipment. Please bring water, snacks or meals, a notebook, and any props you like to use in your practice (e.g., yoga blocks or grip socks).

How many people will be in the training?

We intentionally keep group sizes small—typically 8 to 12 participants—to ensure hands-on instruction, personalized feedback, and dedicated hammock space for every trainee.

What’s the cancellation or refund policy?

Because space is limited, all payments are non-refundable. However, if you’re unable to attend due to an emergency, you may be eligible to transfer your registration to a future training (subject to availability). Please contact us as early as possible if your plans change.

Can I pay in installments?

Yes! We offer flexible payment plans to make the training accessible. Just choose the payment plan option at checkout or contact us directly to set one up.

Will I get teaching practice during the training?

Absolutely. You'll begin practicing verbal cueing and mini-sequences early in the training and complete a teaching practicum on Day 2. You’ll also observe and participate in live classes, giving you real-world context for everything you learn.

Is this training open to non-instructors who just want to deepen their knowledge?

Yes—as long as you meet the movement experience recommendation (10 yoga + 10 aerial classes), you're welcome to join. While this training is designed to prepare people to teach, it's also valuable for personal enrichment and building confidence in the air.
